Fried rice is one of those dishes that’s less about exact measurements and more about flow. Hot pan, good protein, plenty of vegetables, and just enough seasoning to pull everything together. This pork-fried cauliflower rice preserves that spirit by swapping traditional rice for cauliflower, keeping it lighter and faster.

Ground pork brings richness, while ginger, garlic, sesame oil, and soy sauce give the dish that familiar fried-rice backbone. Shredded cabbage, carrot, and green onion add texture, and the cauliflower rice absorbs all that savory flavor without becoming soggy. It’s a single-pan dinner that comes together in under 30 minutes without feeling like a compromise.

This recipe uses Sautéing — covered in Cooking 101. This is the kind of recipe that’s easy to adapt once you’ve made it once. Swap the pork for chicken or turkey, clean out the crisper drawer, or bump up the heat if that’s your style. It’s practical cooking that still feels satisfying—and that’s the goal.

Notes

I normally get a bag of coleslaw mix and use that for the 1 cup green cabbage. Makes it even easier!
