This 30-minute Korean ground beef and broccoli is a fast, flavor-packed weeknight dinner made with lean ground beef, garlic, soy sauce, and a lightly sweet sesame glaze. Served over rice with tender broccoli, it’s a simple, satisfying meal that comes together quickly without sacrificing depth.
Heat a skillet over medium-high. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up as it browns. Drain off excess grease.
Stir in the garlic and cook just until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, orange juice, brown sugar, sesame oil, and cornstarch until smooth.
Pour the sauce into the skillet and stir well. Reduce the heat and let it gently simmer for about 5 minutes, until slightly thickened and glossy.
Spoon over warm rice, add steamed broccoli, and finish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
Patient Cook's Notes: Feel free to switch the ground beef to ground turkey and/or something leaner. The recipe will be great with whatever ground meat you use.
