Pita Crisps

These are seriously amazing, and sure to win you the admiration of all who cross paths with them. And best news of all, these are amazingly delicious. They go amazingly with dips, such as this eggplant and crispy chorizo one. These are bought to you by akitchencat, who first showed me the ingenious method of making these delicious crispy delights.

Serves: As many as you make!
Cooking Time: Around 8 minutes per tray in the oven.


+ 1 pack of Kohbz bread, or similar pita-style bread
+ cooking spray oil
sea salt, or other spice  combinations such as pepper, cumin or chilli and lime


Preheat oven to 190˚C.

Roughly cut up the Khobz into bite sized pieces, or triangles. Rustic is more than fine. Lay them on a baking tray and spray lightly with cooking oil. Sprinkle with salt, or whichever spice you have chosen. Bake for 4-7 minutes, checking on them every two minutes. They should be slightly coloured, but not golden brown. This will depend on your oven – once you’ve worked out the perfect baking time, it’s easy to repeat.

Serve with dips or just eat them as a snack.
